Crinum album

Pretty much a tropical amarylids. Got it from my mom's garden who in turn got it from my eldest sister's garden.

White bloom with a crinum fragrance. Prefer partial shade. Now it is producing 3 scapes at one time.



This scape has 3 buds. The shape is lovely from the side. Like it.

Habranthus Gracilifolius

One flower per scape. Slightly bigger than Zephyranthes but smaller than Hippestrum. Bloom that faces sideway compared to upward-facing rain lily.

Found it at the Carnival Landscape Negara at Bandar Baru Bangi two weeks ago.

Straplike foliage, the leaves just a little bigger and longer than Zephyranthes Grandiflora

All green. Light green. High flower count per scape. I have 5 and 7.

Hippeastrum 'Carmen'

Another big dark red hippeastrum. It is liked by both my wife and daughter :-) The colour is as dark as Benfica.

It is difficult to capture the true dark red colour of this bloom. I had to adjust the exposure to -1.0 to obtain the closest true colour. But even then, I can not captur the velvety petals and the sheen at the at the throat.

Hippeastrum Cybister 'Quito'

One of the prettiest cybister available. I really like the thin dark pink veins running along each creamish petal.

Hippeastrum Cybister 'Shacoba'

Named the grower, Ludwig Amaryllis, as '96-28' and still is not available commercially. It is named as 'Shacoba' at some websites. The petals are veiny, dotty, curly, wavy, foldy ...

The scape is dark brown, the darkest I have ever seen on a hippeastrum
